To ensure zero tolerance policy in reference to the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013, the University of Delhi constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) according to the guidelines given under Section 4 (2) of the Act.

WSDC works closely with the ICC to implement this Act and to spread awareness about it. |
In order to understand the Provision and Rules of the said Act for its precise and effective implementation, WSDC organized “in-house” workshops to further understand the nuances of the Act. A workshop for Delhi University student members of Sexual Harassment Committees to create an environment free from gendered discriminations and sexual harassment on the occasion of International Women’s day (8th March 2013) |
It aims at studying the percentage of women in different sections; work out a demographic profile of women in different sections of the university; the perception of women regarding working environment and opportunities; the problems faced by women; to assess gender sensitivity in policies and programs, in curriculum and infrastructural facilities.
Also, to identify measures required for making the University system and environment more gender friendly. |
